    Vandy's looking pretty impressive early.

Tood the opening drive into the end zone pretty quickly.

Well, Reggie Herring is the worst defensive coach of the last decade.

I'm proposing a drinking game -- everyone drinks when someone on ESPN references "Separation Saturday." If we start now we could get a really good buzz going by halftime, I think.

Let's go Bearcats, let's go! So far, they're up 7-6 over the Buckeyes.

This tight end from Iowa (Chandler) is pretty solid. Should be one of the big NFL TE's in a couple years.

    I'm with you, Oz.

    I'm through a six-pack already.

Chandler is a stud. Keeping the Hawks in the game today (and Tate has been MONEY in the second half).
By the way, what about those Slim Jim "Slimalope" commercials?
Freaky. Somebody smoked some good peyote to come up with that stuff.

I stopped by Michigan State-Pitt while channel surfing.

I do believe, if I were a fan of either of these teams, I could learn to despise college football.

Took Va. Tech minus 36 against Duke. Tech misses the last extra point to push the game.

The SportsJournalists.com pick'em had the line at 35. Good thing, because I put 15 confidence points on that. I also put 14 confidence points on Ohio State, which kicked a late 52-yard field goal in its 37-7 win ... the spread was 29.5 points.

Plays like make me curious to see people living a dying with plays like that at a place like Sportsbook in Vegas. I've heard the stories from friends who said watching football weekends at a place like that is a great atmosphere.

Drinking games aside, anyone else annoyed with the "Separation Saturday" term we're being bombarded with? No doubt it's a great weekend for college football. But it's only week three and I really don't think there will be much breaking from the pack after today's games. All the winners could then go and lose next week or in one of the following nine or 10 weeks, and then what? Maybe I'm just being picky. Or maybe I'm just tired of this slogan being jammed down my throat.

You're not the only one. It's ESPN, which feels it must come up with a cutesy slogan for every Saturday. It sucks.

Someone at ESPN feels that marketing these weekends as such makes them more important or something.

The sad part: Whoever is doing this in Bristol is probably making twice what we do to come up with these stupid gimmicks.
