Guessing he didn't waste money buying new textbooks.

To be fair, apparently he was going there because of the Kingsbury hire.

Yup. I saw him quoted raving about the opportunities for WR's with USC level talent in the Air Raid offense. He was very taken by Kingsbury, er, taken in by Kingsbury.

Seriously, they ought to go back to playing it on campus. But as I saw suggested on Twitter, playing in Vegas would morph into a long weekend for many (plus action on the games being played Saturday).

In theory - it is more driveable from LA and Arizona (and Utah) and reasonable for the NoCal schools and yeah, planes go to Vegas all the time - I just don't see the game drawing more than 30k regardless (and also figure the tickets will be jacked up as well).

Three years ago, Jeffery Simmons got into a fight with a woman over a family feud of some sort. There were a lot of calls to keep him out of Mississippi State, but they let him in anyway. Being one of the best D-Line recruits in the country helped his case.
Since then he has not had a single negative incident, become a team leader as well as a potential Top 10 pick, and seems to have genuinely grown and learned from his mistake. He's acknowledged a number of times how fortunate he is to have gotten a second chance. Basically everything you'd hope for from a young kid who made a mistake and was given a chance to turn his life around.
    But, rules are rules, right?
    Way to go NFL.

Plus, there's a cool trivia answer to "Which major football conference plays its championship game in a state not represented by any of its member institutions?"

And the Pac-12 already plays its hoops tournament in Vegas.
