Stanford-WAZZU is on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. Cougar football has been mostly bad since 2003, plus GameDay sent a tweet earlier this season that it was a priority to get to Pullman.

Ye Olde Chef's Early Weak 8 premonitions.

Cal (+3.5) at UCLA----I really really like Cal in this game.
Memphis (-11.5) at Tulsa-----Homecoming for Fuente.
Kansas State at Texas (-4)-----Kansas State is offensively offensive.
Iowa State at Baylor (-37)-----Baylor could score 90 on anybody.
Washington State (+7.5) at Arizona------Leach v. RichRod. Nuff said.
    Auburn (+5.5) at Arkansas-----No hogs.
Utah (+3) at USC-----This line just seems bizarre.
Texas Tech (+15) at Oklahoma-----Someone raise their hand if they've figured out OU.

They're definitely the two best teams in the Belt, by far.

Still, Georgia Southern doesn't often win in Boone. [/Appfanboi]

Agreed. Winning in Boone is a tall task for the Eagles. [/4 year Georgia Southern donor] (thankfully not five years...)

How are you doing so far this year, Chef? Up or down? Betting as many games as you do, I think I have a guess.

Heard today from someone who would know that Wazzu-Stanford and Temple-Notre Dame are in fact on the short list for GameDay on 10/31. It's possible Chip Kelly could be the guest picker if it's the latter.

I like Georgia Southern a lot. With all these jobs that are open or will be, Willie Fritz ought to get some looks.

I don't understand the appeal of a second straight OSU game for ABC, at Rutgers no less.

You guys are spoiled. I contend there are a lot of good games, either for the entertainment value (Cal-UCLA, Texas Tech-Oklahoma) or games crucial to division races (Miami-Clemson, Duke-Virginia Tech, Texas A&M-Ole Miss, Tennessee-Alabama). Who ever said TV viewers deserve a blockbuster Saturday every week?
