College Football 2015 Week 7 thread

    It was a low but certainly not uncatchable snap.

    Some U-M slappies are claiming the snapper was illegally roughed -- the rule says you cannot hit the snapper for one full second after he delivers the ball, and replays show the snapper flopping violently to the ground immediately after the snap. But it's hard to tell from the replays whether he really got hit or was just doing a Eurofairy soccer flop.

    Funny, in my own high school football days, they certainly had no such rule that the snapper could not be bulldozed the second he snapped the ball. In fact at various times I played all 3 positions in that little drama: the snapper, the punter, and the nose guard whose mission is to hammer the long snapper into the dirt the split-instant he hikes it.

    The odds reduce even more if the punter remembers which side of the equator he is on and what sport he is playing.

    This is an all-time play for so many reasons. It sucks horribly for the punter, but it was glorious to watch from an impartial seat.

    Kudos on the use of punter instead of kicker, Devil. The kid is learning.
