Why can't you try it out for a season anyway?

I don't have the capability and time to fly out to Nevada each weekend and shift money around to a bunch of different casinos. Would also prefer to do this "non-digital", strictly cash.

For a logistical matter, if the bets got large enough, I would break the action down between different casinos to avoid the tax forms for any significant payouts.

That would be a fun life experience though.

I'll track it this year and see how it plays out.

Gotcha. That's a healthy undertaking. I'll be interested to see how it works out if you decide to keep track this year.

Here's the only system you need to make money in college football. Fade the public, especially when money is heavy on an underdog and the favorite is at home, and the spread is under -7. Those games are specifically big, because the books would not only take a hit if the underdog covered, but would also take a hit if the money line came in on the underdog. That means they are confident.

Those games are even more of an opportunity when the line moves against the money. If, say a line were to move from -2.5 to -3.5, despite money coming in on the underdog, the favorite winning comes in at ridiculous levels.

The sooner you realize you're not smarter than the bookmakers, the sooner you can make money.

I'd expect BC, Auburn, Kentucky, and maybe Buffalo to fit the bill this week, no? Possibly Michigan?

It's still early, but early indications are that Michigan, BC, Buffalo, Florida, Illinois, Auburn fit. Auburn and Michigan have the biggest disparity, but again, it's early and pools aren't very big. I usually like to see where the pools are Friday night and see how the line moved through the week.

BC and Auburn are playing with new QBs this week, too.

Auburn would be my big play this week, on the information I have right now.

Auburn opened at 4. Now at 2.5.

I have it opening at 3.5, but it is down to 2.5.

I believe the Mormons have covered as dogs each of the first three weeks, and see no reason why it won't happen again this week.

BYU has covered every week, as you note. 3-0 so far. (They were covering at Nebraska even before the hail mary). I'll be curious to see how the Michigan line moves the next three days.

Mirage has Auburn down to -2 on Vegas Insider.

Also curious to see how the top teams answer back against weaker opponents. Ohio State hasn't covered the last two home games against Hawaii and NIU. Do they wake up now and get a blowout? Same for Michigan State.
