I think at this rate, Bowling Green would have been a better choice for the Big Ten

I know you're joking, but Rutgers was added to the B1G to get a foothold in a Northeast market. BG is already in a B1G market. A better joke would have been, say, adding Buffalo or a SUNY school.

34 points seems like a train load for Michigan (-34)/UNLV

If only because I seem to be a reverse barometer this fall ...

    Wisconsin (-34.5) vs Troy
Ga. Tech (-2.5) at Notre Dame
    Colorado St. (+2.5) vs Colorado

I'd avoid Wisconsin. Clement will be out, and their running game without him isn't....good. The two backs who play in his place have the vision of Mr. Magoo. `

A relatively minor scandal at Rutgers is perfect for the Big Ten. It gives them stuff to talk about on the network and has the New York media paying at least a little attention to the Knights. You can't have 14 Ohio States in a league. Rutgers is probably giving the Big Ten about what it hoped for.

Besides, UCONN isn't an AAU school, so the presidents were never going to be on board.
