Reflecting once more back to Week one or two thread, I still don't see what so many here thought was so unusual or unthinkable that a really good Jacksonville State team would be able to hang around with Auburn. It was early in the year and teams were still finding themselves. ---- on another note, the postgame meeting just now between Jacksonville and 'Nooga HCs was quite chippy and developed into a shouting match.

Georgia State making an improbable bowl trip after introducing Ga. Southern to the other end of the tin horn.

That screen by Bama had a pick placed to spring the receive3r. I've seen Bama do it numerous times this season and Ole Miss has done it plenty. Lots of teams do picks and get away with big gainers. Where is the line drawn and how are officials treating potential picks?

I feel for Florida, which has a championship defense and an offense that would shame Vandy.

Really. In the last two games, Florida defense and special teams have scored 9 points-Florida offense 8.

Makes you wonder if Florida's QB was not suspended. He wasn't all-world talent, but he could hit an open guy and move the chains, keeping the defense off the field. That was the difference here, that UF's defense was dog tired.

How much money changed hands when Saban let the clock go out rather than go for the spread-covering TD they would have easily made? I'll bet more people than Webster are calling the guy a prick right now.

Stanford is up 13-0 on USC. Without benefit of a turnover, Stanford leads 31-9 in plays and 17:43-3:45 in TOP.

Should add up to a strong final statement if it comes down to a toss-up with Ohio State and North Carolina.

What Goddam genius had the idea to start all three of these games at 8 p.m.? Probably the same nimrod who thinks having the semifinals on New Years Eve is a fucking great idea.
