Southern Miss is looking better by the week, too, but the point stands. No non-conference Power 5 opponents, let alone wins. Unless they find a way to beat Alabama, a Gator Bowl bid would probably be about the best they can hope for.
If they do beat Alabama and Ole Miss to run the table, maybe they wind up in a New Year's Six bowl.

Win some, lose some, win some more.

That kid from Baylor is going to be a stud.

The good news is that Mizzou ended its 3-game plus streak of not scoring a touchdown.

There's no way Pinkel returns next year, is there?

    No, there's not.

Wait, we're not living in 2026 yet are we?

If I am remembering correctly.....his contract is up at the end of this year, isn't it?

Good to see the SEC West narrative is back for more. That ended so well last season.

I mean, it's not like he's done nothing there. He had back-to-back 11-win seasons with SEC East championships before this year (in 3 years, he made it to the SEC championship game more times than Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Vanderbilt had combined in 23 years).

And he's the school's all-time leader in victories. Should they just dump him now?

I'll never understand the Pinkel hate by some. Since he's arrived he raised the football team's profile enough that they were invited to the SEC. Finished ranked five of the past eight seasons and two of those were top five. You're fucking Missouri; the Minnesota of the SEC. Know your role in the food chain.
