    he Ga Tech-Wake game sucks

ABC just ran a crawl that SC extended Spurrier through 2012 and raised his salary to $1.75 mill ... guess those bogus Bama rumors were profitable for the old bastard.

Easy, S-P. You're right, but Spurrier didn't hold anyone in Columbia hostage. It was more the lunatics from Tuscaloosa desperate to make a splash. Given the money he originally took to go to South Carolina, it wasn't about the money ... he had enough of Daniel Snyder's after he got tired of trying to run Napoleon's little fantasy football team.

When they offered him more money originally, he told the athletic department to give the money to his assistants.

Good proactive move for the Gamecocks. Nice to see Spurrier not to go to those entitled punks.

    Dear ACC,

Just because you CAN have a championship game doesn't mean you SHOULD have a championship game.

    Sincerely,

I didn't mean, Sam, that the rumors were Spurrier's doing,. Just meant that all the BS out of Tuscalooser became a windfall for Spurrier.

    Dear John Swofford,

You wanted 12 teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference to create this little championship football game. You also put it down in Florida, assuming not only better weather, but also that one or both Florida-based schools would be there. You should know what happens when one assumes.

    See what you did? Idiot.

    Sincerely,
    Fan of Sam Mills

P.S.: But if you must hold this game, go Wake Forest!

Does the ACC alternate this game between Jax and Charlotte, or is it just in Jax?

True, S-P ... I was pretty sure that's what you meant.

The AP photos are hilarious. Take one look at the golf polo Spurrier's wearing under his coat. You think for one moment, the Chickens and AD Eric Hyman didn't hold an impromptu presser to tell Tuscaloosa - and perhaps Miami in the process - to buzz off?

All two games (!) have been in Jax. I think Swofford was hoping it would be a somewhat permanent home, but one look at today's "crowd" and the fact that the ACC isn't just Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech and the Nine Minions may open his narrowly-focused eyes to Boston, D.C., Charlotte and Atlanta among other sites in the future.

Reggie Ball is not the man you want leading your fourth-quarter comeback.
