Does Hollenbach realize he's supposed to throw to the red jerseys?

Louisville has had big wins before -- Florida State when it was No. 5 in 2002 comes to mind. However, the Cards had never ever been a top 5 team until the WVU game and WVU was the highest ranked team Louisville had faced in about 10 years. So, yeah, it was a big win but not necessarily the biggest. (I still think the Fiesta Bowl win against Bama ranks up there).

As for South Florida, the program itself is still in its infancy and the way Leavitt has the Bulls set up, they will become a Big East power and a periennial Top 25 team. The frosh QB who took his lumps last week here in Louisville gave quite a few today. USF is battling Miami and Florida State for the No. 2 program in Florida.

If the NC State score holds up, will Amato keep his job past noon on Sunday?

Not a chance in hell. Even if they come back to win, I think he's done.

Firing Amato would be funny, in the sense that it would provide the joy of another coaching search from the geniuses that brough you the N.C. State basketball coaching search.

Firing Amato would also be funny to see what kind of Incredible Hulk-style rampage he'd go on afterwards.

Might be the antithesis of the 'Uncle' Larry Coker presser yesterday.

    Ohhhh Kentucky.

Tennessee basically had been letting everyone score in the Red Zone this year. Kentucky gets in the zone twice late in the game.

    3Q -- Up 12-10. Missed field goal

Tennessee comes back and scores go-ahead TD. 17-12

Kentucky comes back and with 4 minutes left and a time out the Cats are inside the Vol 5. They get a DELAY OF GAME at the 3 and eventually lose the ball on downs to avoid (in typical UK fashion) the upset victory.

Further proof why Rich Brooks' contract does not deserve an extension.

West Virginia did not show up to play today. And despite 3 hours of wake-up calls, they never showed any urgency until the final six minutes. White gave them a chance despite twice injuring different parts of his foot. He's the team's best player -- better than Slaton. The defense is heinous and Rodriguez's game plan and motivation might have been worse. Under Rodriguez, West Virginia either gets on a roll to end the season, or shits down its leg and peters out (see '04). Very possible Rutgers can get the win in Morgantown considering it is not that imposing a home field ... however, Slaton and White are such talented players it's hard to imagine them having two down games in a row. It's pretty disappointing considering WVU had a good argument to get the final at-large BCS berth, but judging by today's result and the lame effort at Louisville, it is clearly not deserving.
