Grobe, I think, has reached the pinnacle of what he can do at Wake Forest. It's a nice little program, but it won't throw the money at football that Virginia wants to throw at it its program. If Grobe leaves Wake, don't surprised to see Danny Rocco at Liberty get a serious look at that job.

Kelly could end up at a Big Ten school. That is, if the right opening comes up and the school will tolerate someone who jumps around a lot.

No way Ferentz leaves. For the first time he's got big time national exposure. He stays.

Jumps around alot? Explain, please. Jobwise, he was at Grand Valley for 13 years, 3 years at Central Michigan and now 3 at Cincy.

In any case, he's not going anywhere. They just backed up the Brinks truck for his extension, started building a practice field he demanded. He's been pretty clear that if UC did that, he'd be around for a while. Kinda hard to walk that one back.

London has done a great job, but Al Golden of Temple, who I mentioned last week and who is mentioned on this thread, is the far more logical choice. What he's done there, with its meager resources, is nothing short of amazing.

As for Petersen, Washington and UCLA were far more attractive possibilities than Colorado, and he turned them down. Of course, if Boise goes undefeated again this year and is snubbed by the BCS, he might figure he's done all he can at BSU, is fighting a stacked deck, and makes a move.

Virginia actually would be a great place for Petersen, just as it probably will be for Tony Bennett, another successful coach from the PNW who turned down so-called "big" jobs for UVa. Smaller, very livable community, short commute, plenty of resources, good recruiting base.

This is not a reflection on Chris Petersen's coaching ability but there's no way in hell CU's next coach is coming from Boise State.

Yeah, that would just not seem like a good idea for either side.

The way I see it, it's a lock that Boise goes undefeated and gets "snubbed" by the BCS.
One quality win does not make up a BCS schedule.
You want a shot at the big one, join an actual conference.

Yeah, because the Pac-10 and Big 12 are knocking down Boise's door to invite the Broncos to join. Let's be fucking realistic here.

I think they should join the Big South. That way, they get into the playoff every year.
