Lke I said, no question it's a great shot, but the get-it-right gene in me as a former reporter says don't call it a half-court shot unless she actually shoots from half-court.

The story said she also plays soccer. The shot looked kind of like one of those throw-ins.

The ball is sitting on the center-court circle when she grabs it. If it's not half-court, it's only a couple feet short.

Did she show pics of her genitals?

When I was coaching kids basketball a couple decades ago, sometimes I would screw around and shoot backwards-over-the-head free throws from the opposite free throw line. That is, a backward 3/4-court shot. Set up at the line, take a couple dribbles like you're shooting a regular FT, then hurl it backwards over your head at the opposite basket.

I got to the point I could make about 1 out of 20 or so.

One day I walked out on the court and nailed my first try. Hooray for me.

Would have hit rim if it was a true half-court shot.

AP has picked this one up. She also plays soccer and runs track at the college. And, while making an appearance today at an event promoting a Globetrotters game on Monday, she hit another one.

What the hell was that? Unbelievable.

It's also not a "flip" or a "somersault."

It appears to be a round-off back handspring.

Cheerleading might not be a sport, but gymnastics is.

The camera skills in the video pale in comparison to the cheerleader's shot.

But, then again, they pale in comparison to just about anything.

I called it before I read it underneath -- soccer throw in.

Did anyone else notice she's a three - sport athlete if we count cheer leading? I mean, sport or not, that's an awful lot of dedication for a college kid these days. Cheers to her.

    I agree.
