Make your pick and then your case, if you feel like it.

I know Walker wasn't his conference's player of the year but that is looking like a mistake more and more.

My personal pick is The Jimmer.

When does the (actual) voting close?

    Kemba by a hair.

Kemba is my pick. He has a air about him that commands your attention, and a double team.

For the tournament, it's a race between Williams and Walker. For the whole year just based on buzz, it's Jimmer.

    Bradford Burgess.
    But I'm biased.

Well if you are basing this on the actual way it is done then Kemba is out of consideration. The award ends with the regular season same as NBA MVP or what have you. UCONN finished 9th in the Big East. Can't have national player of the year with that.

If you include post season then its Kemba and not particularly close. His play since the first game of the Big East Tournament is absolutely ridiculous and has made UCONN a top team.

By the time I turned in my AP ballot, the Big East tourney was over. We were to turn those in at the same time as the final ballot, or within a day or so.

So, I most certainly had the conference tourney performances in mind, but that wasn't the only thing.

I voted for Walker. I would have voted Nolan Smith second and Teh Jimmer third.

Wooden Award ballots are due Monday, so everything except the Final Four can be considered.

I wouldn't vote for him, but no Sullinger?
