    Lester,

He wasn't sure about Indiana, because of the sister issue. But he was pretty sure Bennett, etc., wouldn't be in Pullman next season, that he'd be someplace back in the Midwest.

(WSU would be a perfect step up for Ken Bone, the ex-UW assistant doing a great job at Portland State with NO resources).

I guarantee all writers need editors. But it's Journalism 101: errors diminish credibility.

If you can't trust a guy to look up the name of a player or racetrack he's referencing, how can you trust him to get the actual facts straight?

Even if he's not being edited, it would take a simple re-read and google.com to fix those mistakes.

No doubt. I'll read Hoops for information ... and try to get past the other things.

I understand. That story just seemed a little off base. For a guy like Hoops to base an entire story on "wild" rumors is a little questionable. It's not like he claimed to have sources saying Gillispie was interested in the Okie State job. He just said there were tons of wild rumors, then wrote a story speculating on why Gillispie wanted out of Lexington.

Hold to the thought that at Okie State, you're going to be overpaid like crazy.

Okie State would be an ideal last job for a guy who's made his bones at a couple of lesser schools, looking for the last-lunge payday. You probably wouldn't last long, because the glass ceiling at Stillwater is hung low, but the payout would be terrific.

Duke and Chapel Hill in a spitfest? No way! ::)

Both sides are being childish ... Mike Krzyzewski is earning Bill Belichick comparisons for playing the injury situation close to the vest, while Roy Williams should really STFU and not react to stupid crap.

The fans in Raleigh are probably laughing at both of them, if only to avoid crying when watching their team mail in turd after festering turd.

From the "Who Gives a Shit About These Teams" file:

Wichita State blew a 21-point lead in the second half in five minutes at Indiana State. Then Wichita State led by nine with a minute left ... and blew that too. Indiana State winning by four in overtime.

Indiana 2-0 since the latest Sampson drama (not counting the Butch bankshot on the night it was announced). Nobody circles the three-way wagons like the Hoosiers.

Man, Hasheem Thabeet has really improved from last season to this season.

UConn's a different team -- in a good way -- because Thabeet and A.J. Price are finally living up to the hype.

The Tubby Smith Bowl is getting tight in Lexington, thanks largely to neither team being very good on offense. UK up 55-52 on Georgia at the under-4.
