Ray Giacoletti out at Drake after three-plus seasons at 32-69. Tough job. Willie McCarter was a long time ago.

I remember covering Ray when he was at Eastern Washington. Really good guy. Drake had one flash in the pan year under Keno Davis. Generally a really dreadful program.

I know a month into the season is likely not the record, but WTF?

Surprised I didn't see this on here......

Jeff Capel taking over for K as he undergoes another back surgery. Out at least 4 weeks.
Quick trivia: The last time K was out for an extended period of time for a back surgery, who took over for him? Hint: 95-96.......

Which ended in a disastrous season for the Dookies and K's longtime right-hand man, who could've ridden that gig to retirement, losing his job.

And Capel was a sophomore on that team.

Lot of scuttlebutt around these parts that K may be reaching the end of the line. This is his fifth or sixth surgery in less than a year. At what point do you decide, I've done enough and want to enjoy life a bit while I can?
