College athlete stupidity revealed...

    "Look, mister, there's... two kinds of dumb, uh... guy that gets naked and runs out in the snow and barks at the moon, and, uh, guy who does the same thing in my living room. First one don't matter, the second one you're kinda forced to deal with." George in the movie Hoosiers.

    This quote applies to athlete profiles on Facebook and MySpace. It is one thing for them to do something stupid, but when millions of people can see it, then it becomes a problem that athletic departments have to deal with. Many schools give a wink and a nod when informing athletes of the alchohol policy, preferring not to know when an athlete drinks as long as it doesn't become a problem. A picture on a website of an athlete with 10 empty beer cans in front of him makes it something a school has to deal with.
