Somewhere in a closet at my folks' house is a complete set of my high school's student newspapers from my senior year.

And no, they weren't written on parchment.

I liked II (the green one) a lot better. Still have mine, but the sound is messed up.

    I also have this:

Visited a friend's house the other day ... in his basement, he has the original NFL and Star Wars pinball games. I damn near shit a brick right there.

Also, my dad still has this:

I think I got this when I was 8. We tried playing it, and found out running a real team is less complicated.

There's a memory. My brothers and I played that a lot back in the day.

Outstanding. My dad, brother and I wore ours out playing it so much.

You can still find Football II in stores like Target. Goes for about $10-12, but sometimes I've seen it on sale for around $8.

    Stratomatic was great.

I also played the Statis Pro series by Avalon Hill. Mostly played just football and baseball with that series. IIRC, you didn't involve dice, but you flipped cards and then referred to the player card for the result.

OK, now I want to see a version of the Nate Poole catch that matches each player to his individual small horizontal line segment.
