Cola Wars

That is about where we have been till last 2 weeks .

$6 for 4 12 packs ( $1.50 ) is off the charts. I pay more for 1 can at the gas station.

 

Throwback Pepsi = quite good.

Throwback Mountain Dew = awful.

 

The Pepsi is decent, not great. Kinda bitter I sprung for two 12-packs. They'll last until June, I'm sure.

Haven't had the Mountain Dew yet.

 

Pepsi tastes almost like it's a diet cola. I don't remember last year's throwback tasting like that.

Mountain Dew is fairly indistinguishable from the HFCS version.

Heritage Dr Pepper? Confirmed for God tier.

 

The throwback Dew tastes like the original, IMO.

Question: Is there some "official" Cola Wars store, or are most retailers taking part?

 

I always strike when there's a sale...right now $5.00 for a 24 pack of diet pepsi. Lately the best deal I've gotten is $5.99. I'm always happy if I can get 25 cents a can or less.

And I think that Pepsi/Coke are probably making deals with folks right now in advance of that big game next Sunday....same thing is happening in the chip category right now.

 

(Ahem). My local store has Faygo 12-packs on sale for $1.67. Not my favorite, but I love the price, and it will make me just as burpy.

These damn cola wars. I just can't take it anymore.
