Coaching Little League: Does Baseball Have The Most Obnoxious Coaches/Parents?

I'm very surprised that six year olds are playing in a league competitive enough to necessitate playoffs.

If all else fails, run 'em till they go sign up for football.

 

I was an assistant on my son's t-ball team and as we got closer to playoffs (yes, playoffs in t-ball) we made the practices longer. All playoff games were five innings but in the regular season we rarely got more than three so we wanted the kids used to being in the field longer than normal.

 

We don't even keep score in our T-Ball league, let alone have playoffs.

WHen they turn 6, they'll go up to the leagues where they start using scoreboards.

 

My son is in his fourth year in the local baseball organization and they have never kept score during the regular season, only in playoffs. There are no stats or message boards or team websites, in other words, none of the idiocy you see in kid's hockey here in Toronto.
