I was on desk this morning and got a rather amusing phone call from a local baseball coach, who tried to call in the score of his game yesterday, which I covered. It went something like this.

    Me: Sports

Coach: This is Baseball Coach, calling in Local High baseball score.

Me: I know, Coach. I was there.

Coach: You were? I didn't see you. Wait, I talked to you, didn't I? Sorry about that.

    Me: That's OK, Coach.

Granted, talking to me is not the highlight of his day - it's not the highlight of mine either - but at least I remember attending.

I guess I should just be happy that he called.

Wait, talking to yourself is not the highlight of your day?

That can be a highlight, but I was referring to talking to him. I should fix that.
