Selfishness has broken up many a marriage.
This was the ultimate example of a selfish person.
    Horrible story.

This was criminal insanity. Selfish was many exits back on the turnpike.

While I understand the sentiment there, dixiehack, I wouldn't want to use the word insanity. To me, that somehow offers some excuse to the woman's behavior. My heart goes out to the kid's father. I can't even begin to imagine what he is going through.

Just heartbreaking. The toughest part was seeing the picture of Tim and his son at Wrigley towards the bottom of the page. How someone could take a kid's life is just beyond me. So horrible.

I work with divorced or divorcing people in our church. I've sat with women who lost their 7-month-old baby's custody to an abusive ex-husband and listened to men say the only reason they keep going is for their once every two week visit with their kids.

But this story is just ... there are no words. That is awful. It's just awful. It makes me nautious reading that story.

I am ashamed to admit, I didn't get as outraged over this story as I probably should have. Just sad.

Wow. I was barely able to finish it, and I don't even have kids (yet).

I just started crying like a baby at my desk. Jesus...

After being out of newspapers for nearly two years, I find myself getting more choked up than I used to when I was on desk. Don't be too hard on yourself.
