    I'm not so sure that high school newspapers are good preparation for future journalists.

    No in-depth reporting, nothing that would embarrass the administration, puff pieces on popular people, navel gazing columnists, very little advertising ...

    Oh, wait.

    Yeah, high schools let their hot-type machines fall into disrepair.

    I remember ditto machines as recently as 1990, my seventh-grade year. My math teacher would have me run off dittos. And I'm with spaceman; loved the smell.
