Clothing sizes

    Shoes absolutely not. I pay top dollar for shoes. My feet are very flat so I can't wear Payless or whatever

    Congrats on the weight loss. I would say that, if you catch a half hour, go to an actual men's store (Men's Wearhouse, even) and ask to get measured and try on a couple of shirts.

    You may be surprised at what you find. Perhaps a 17-inch might fit better in that it will wrap "tighter" along your waist.

    On shoes, I wear a 15 -- so, whatever is in stock usually ends up on my feet.

    Disagree. The neck size is the most important thing unless you're going open-collar.

    Yes, if you are wearing a tie you do NOT want a tight collar. I have a large head and thick neck as well, similar measurements to type's, and broad shoulders. Fortunately I don't have to dress up often, but I am average in every other way, so I don't have too much trouble finding shirts that fit.

    The Jos A Bank Traveler series shirt is a good value. I'm sure you can get measured up and you can order say six at once to replace the ones that don't fit.
