Or to put it another way - why buy the cow when it gives you the milk for free. She's already treated like a Presidential candidate - why deal with the hassle of running.
The odd thing is - someone with that kind of profile (think a Giuliani, or an Al Gore) usually channels that profile into a business or a cause, rather than simply selling their celebrity.

She has sort of made it into a business.

Yes but no one comes close in the Coney Island hot dog eating contest.

There's photo evidence that another candidate might give Christie a run for his money in a hot-dog eating contest, but I won't post it because it might offend somebody.

The corn dog photo is hilarious. If she was stupid enough to put herself in a position to have it taken, then that's on her...

'll take the sexist pig thing a step further: Does she run now because running four or eight years later erodes a bit of her hotness factor?

A bit? If her appeal outside her base has more to do with cosmetics than substance (and I believe it does), then four years may as well be 40.

Sarah Palin would be a fabulous "Weekend Update" host. It's a shame she's missing her true calling.

I think she would be great as the judge on one of those lame television court shows like "Judge Joe Brown." She would be awesome at this.

Sarah would clearly be the best thing to gaze at in a state of the union speech since...well....ever.

That is, if your objective in watching the SOTU speech is to use up half a box of kleenex.

Obama fans know a thing or two about this.
