An entire political movement didn’t dedicate itself to seeking votes from people who denied the moon existed.

The new nuclear problem is the same as the old nuclear problem.

Skimmed the article. I saw a whole lot of “other countries will do this” and not any “other counties have done this (and without triggering massive backlash.)” A little early for pats on the back elsewhere.

And true pains in the change, on top of it. For reasons that at times can seem to be a moving target. Change that really wealthy people won’t have to make.

    Ok.

Awash in Asphalt, Cities Rethink Their Parking Needs

The United States has about two billion parking spots, according to some estimates — nearly seven for every car. In some cities, as much as 14 percent of land area is covered with the black asphalt that engulfs malls, apartment buildings and commercial strips.

We're doing our part. All the streets in my neighborhood will be resurfaced with asphalt beginning March 20.

A moving target that has no true end point, no "One giant leap" moment.

A moving target that, even in the unlikely event we hit it on the nose, makes few people's lives noticably better --- it just ostensibly keeps them from getting worse . . . somewhere down the road. . ... as the world inexorably moves toward 8 billion, 9 billion people, all with energy needs.

They said all the same things about the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act.
