Who is doing their layout now that it's been outsourced?

EDIT: I guess it's something called the Advance Local Print Innovations team. Innovative is not how I'd describe that cover.

There also shouldn’t be a space between Space and X.

The deadline for most of the Sunday paper is several days in Advance.

That's atrocious. There should have been at least one riot picture under the list of "summer fun activities."

I typically do two west coast McClatchy papers on Saturday.

Print deadlines for those papers are 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. local time.

Content deadlines --- when everything has to be ready and no changes can be made --- are 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

That's just the print world these days.

We’re officially all good enough to work for the Plain Dealer now.

Sounds like all the Gannett shops had the corporate-mandated "Rebuilding America" special section as their A section today.

Our local shop has a 4 p.m. print deadline on Saturdays, so they had not a word about the local protests that resulted in shutdowns of busy intersections, marches through downtown and minor looting and damages.

    Not a fucking word.
