Clemson soccer coach faces assault charges

    the victims? His daughters.
    I dealt with Trevor Adair a good bit a decade ago when college soccer played its final four in Richmond. I would not have guessed something like this from him, if true.
    Anyone know what's going on?

    Soccer coaches seem to get in a lot of trouble, for some reason. We've had three or four in our area, from youth league to high school, get pinched for stuff ranging from boffing 14 year olds they were coaching to assault.

    Good point.
    The former Howard men's coach was picked up not far from here after driving to meet a "young girl" he "met" on the Internet - of course it was actually a cop.

    That's because soccer coaches are usually former soccer players.

    And soccer players tend to be a bunch of whiny, self-indulgent little pricks.

    I am pretty goddamn sure truer words have never been spoken. God did I loathe most of the soccer players in my HS.

    I think everyone who knows Trevor is stunned by this. Came out of nowhere.
    On a totally, totally unrelated note.... some of the responses on this thread made me think of this;

    The women's soccer coach where I used to SID was finally fired after his third or fourth DWI. And this was a few years after he dated one of his players. And he got red-carded at halftime once, which I thought was pretty funny, but I couldn't laugh because he was standing right beside me when it happened.
