The RIP Teddy Pendergrass thread got me thinking of songs that had spoken introductions.

One of the best is the Spinners' "Sadie."

The there's "Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance)"

    Donovan had "Atlantis"

I'm sure rap is filled with this, but I'm thinking more old-school.

    Any other favorites?

We can't forget the great Barry White who had some great spoken intros:
"You're the First, the Last, My Everything"
    and
"Can't Get Enough of Your Love"

    to name two.
Also gotta agree with Meatloaf's "Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" as being a classic spoken intro
