Classic/ iconic movies you've never seen

    My dad, who was old enough to be paying attention at the time, said the first thing that boosted Andy Griffith to national recognition was his comedy album containing the routine, "What it Was, Was Football."

    He said AFITC was considred kind of an offbeat artsy/ political movie which was not really much of a hit at all.

    Yeah, I used to have the Griffith comedy album on cassette. He also did a bunch of stuff about moonshine that was pretty funny.

    He was also in a teleplay and later a movie called "No Time For Sergeants" around that time. The premise was nearly identical to Gomer Pyle, USMC.
