Just randomly trying to think of classic board games ... of course you've got your obvious ones like Life, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Candyland, Scrabble, Chutes and Ladders and Parcheesi. Other ones I remember:

    Life
    Careers
    Bargain Hunter
    Sorry
    Clue

    Others?

It's bad ass, man. It's got all those little pieces. [/totally obscure inside joke that maybe one person on this board will get, but made me chuckle a bit, nonetheless.]

    Great game.

Anybody else remember this? We used to play it all the time as kids.

I had Mouse Trap, but we got it at the second-hand store, and it was missing a couple pieces, which rendered it virtually useless.

    Stratego.

Is Battleship considered a board game?

Scabble, Monopoly, Life and Parcheesi were all mainstays at my house growing up. I still love Scrabble and have since turned Monopoly and Life into fun games as an adult.

Loved Stratego, haven't played it in years.

My mother got my son Battleship for Christmas two years ago. First time he played it he kicked my ass.

Don't feel too bad about it. The rest of us played the game two or three times, then lost some pieces. It was the only game I've ever played that took longer to set up than play.
