The Clarion-Ledger has a temporary full-time job for a sports designer that we need to fill TODAY. We are scheduled to transition to Gannett's Nashville design hub in September, at which point the job probably will be eliminated. A paid internship will also be considered. To apply, send a resume, cover letter and samples of your work to Sports Editor Rusty Hampton at rhampton@jackson.gannett.com. Prefer email, but you can snail mail me at Rusty Hampton, Sports Editor, The Clarion-Ledger, PO Box 40, Jackson, MS, 39201. No phone calls please.

Yep, lost our last someone. Designer Richard Mullins is going to the Nashville Design Hub. They called this week. He starts May 21.
