A source close to Shanky says he easily broke 90 one day when Rockbottom shot 100, and that has happened within the past three months.

David Brandt, who covers Jackson State for the Clarion-Ledger, will move to the Ole Miss beat in October. Kareem Copeland, who covers Southern Miss for the Hattiesburg American, will join the Clarion-Ledger in October to cover Jackson State.
