City Sues Sonics to keep them through 2010

    Maybe it's me, but I hear Oklahoma City and I don't think major league

    It's probably because of the four major leagues in this country, none have ever been on OKC. Translation -- Oklahoma City is not a major league town.

    Someone is paying *him* $10 million to take a WNBA off his hands?

    Thats a win-win.

    Me neither. But OKC seems hell-bent on becoming a major-league city. You can't keep 'em on the farm once they've seen Paree.

    Didn't the Hornets draw real well in Oklahoma City? Or was that due to the fact the team was a short-term novelty?

    They drew all right in OKC -- averaged 16th in percentage of home seats sold last year (92.3). Guess who finished 15th? The Seattle Supersonics.

    It must be remembered that OKC tickets were sold cheaper than they were in New Orleans, and attendance was pumped up with the stories that the last two seasons were OKC's "tryout" to get an NBA franchise.
