At the same time that Citigroup is begging for government help, they're dropping $50M on a new corporate jet.

But auto manufacturers have to account for every penny of the help...

Why shouldn't we buy them a new plane?

Hell, I'd settle for Citigroup's old plane.

Obama shoots down Citi's new airplane.

<blockquote>ABC News has learned that on Monday officials of the Obama administration called Citigroup about the company's new $50 million corporate jet and told execs to "fix it."</blockquote>

That explains why my rate went up.

Public executions on the floor of the Dow, just like they'd do in China, would really fix this shit.

This opens up a whole new set of problems.

Now we've got the White House making business decisions in the public sector.

The White House is absolutely correct in that Citigroup shouldn't be buying $50M jets, but it has no business here.

Keep God out of the schools. Keep the government out of the board room.

Couldn't agree more. But where do we draw the line?

When Citi keeps getting bailout funds it has no business there?
