CJ has scant info, so far: http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20110622/NEWS01/306220109/Tornado-touches-down-in-Churchill-Downs-infield-warning-extended-until-8-45-p-m-?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|Home

Yes. Right now it's just saying roof damage on some barns, debris and one guy saying the chapel was damaged with security confirming a tornado touched down in the infield.

It touched down in the infield!?! That's insane.

Steve Margolis' barn collapsed, they're trying to get horses out. Also a gas leak at another barn.

Some utility poles down next to Papa John's Stadium.

Oh, there's a tornado in Louisville? One of the iconic sports landmarks in the nation has been damaged? Please go to Weather.com for coverage, because this "Twist of Fate" show has to air on The Weather Channel instead.

Killick's link above has been updated with photos from outside the PJ stadium. That's not far from Churchill Downs.

I bailed on TWC awhile ago. They creepily glorify these assholes who go chasing tornadoes for kicks with no known benefit to humankind. Then Joplin happens, and all of a sudden they're all somber. Fuck you. You can't have it both ways. They've clearly shifted into the entertainment realm.

Apparently one of the barns that was damaged is that of Jinks Fires, who had the popular Arkansas Derby winner Archarcharch in the Kentucky Derby. AAA was hurt at the start and is off the grounds, retired.
