Chris O'Donnell: What the hell happened to his career?

Just saw a commercial for a new G-rated movie called Kit Kittredge. And it got me thinking: What the hell happened to Chris O'Donnell, who stars in the movie? Ten years ago, he was on the fast track to superstardom. By 23, he'd already supported Oscar-winning Al Pacino in "Scent of A Woman" and toplined (love Variety terms like that) "The Three Musketeers." Then he was in two Batman movies. And then...poof. He's done some long-term guest starring roles on TV and had a series about lawyers that went belly-up in a hurry.

He seemed to be pretty close to a sure thing. So why is he in G-rated movies during what should be the prime of his career?

 

You know what got me about that, which I just read a review of in US Weekly (Hi BigLead!)?

O'Donnell plays the FATHER.

 

This thread means one thing: Today there are two people wondering what happened to Chris O'Donnell's career — BYH and Chris O'Donnell.

(And this is the first day that there's been a second person wondering.)

Maybe there was never a Chris ODonnell and it was really Rosie O Donnell all along?

 

Wasn't he in a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy?

 

Wasn't fatherhood essentially what happened to his acting career? What's he got, 4,5 kids now? Perhaps he's been busy with them.

 

I'd hit it.

 

Other better actors happened to Chris O'Donnell

 

At least once a day and thrice on Sunday.

 

He was good in The Client too.

 

So would I.
