It's still a crime: child solicitation conviction.

It's not like he's getting off scott free. Everyone needs to re-read the article. The guy is still being convicted of a crime, just not the more severe crime.

Same thing with the bomb makers, blah, blah, whatever other analogy. There are different sentences for different crimes.
