Who cares? He gave them a year of great football.

Players should get whatever they can, whenever they can, and get out when they can.

Yeah, but you don't use a third-round pick for a year of great football.

Too bad, they would have cut him if he wasn't great at football.

Third-round picks have been cut before their rookie year before. Should the NFL have to pay those guys for a second and third and fourth year?

Fuck the NFL and its belief that it is entitled to ruin these guys with the same one-way system as always.

They should be forced to work because someone will lose money, awesome.

I'm not saying Borland did anything wrong. I'm just saying that he wouldn't have been drafted in the third round had teams known this ahead of time.

Apparently, the Niners have the right to go after some 600K they gave Borland as a signing bonus. From what I read this morning, it doesn't look like they will. Good.

I just wonder if this is a one-time deal or if this is now a trend.

Willis was injured. Locker sucked. But there's Worilds, Finnegan and Borland, who at least as far as we know, were healthy and decided they were done.

I don't blame Borland for doing what he did. If your heart isn't in it anymore, you should probably walk away.
