  1. Diana Block named co-publisher of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- General Manager Diana Block was named co-publisher of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The newspaper announced the move Thursday, saying Block will also be co-publisher of The Blade of Toledo, Ohio. Her appointment is effective Friday.
Block, 34, will stay on as general manager of the Post-Gazette and will work with co-publisher and editor-in-chief John Robinson Block to create products that fit the marketás changing needs.
"Diana represents the fourth generation of our family in the business, and she brings a younger perspective and new ideas to the table," said Allan Block, chairman of Block Communications Inc. "In her role as co-publisher, I expect her to continue to find creative new revenue streams."
Diana Block is the great-granddaughter of Paul Block, who first published the Post-Gazette in 1927.
Diana Block previously worked as a reporter, systems director and vice president of operations at the Post-Gazette before becoming vice president and general manager.
