China bans Olympic athletes from bringing a Bible

    There are about six bajillion reasons not to hold the Olympic Games ever again anywhere.

    What I am wondering more than this is whether the toilet situation has been rectified in Beijing for the Olympic Games....

    Anyone know if problem solved?

    Other than the caricatures pumped out by NFL Films, I can't think of a bigger shopworn sports cliche than the Olympic Games.

    Actually, I was thinking more along these lines:

    "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

    You all are missing the big picture. Why are cups also banned? That's not only un-American, it's gotta be un-Chinesian!

    FB, you're right about the eight bajillion reasons not the hold the games in China. No matter how any of us feel about various religions I have a difficult time reconciling how the US can take part in an Olympics held by a nation with a bajillion human rights violations.
