Chili Recipes

    Ahhhhhh, finally, a recipe that includes beer.

    If I'm making chili and I've got a bottle of red wine open, I pour in half a cup or so. Same thing if I'm drinking beer (but not if I'm drinking martinis).

    I don't have a set recipe, but I always open a bottle of something dark and stout and pour in all but a few swigs to enjoy while stirring. Never have added wine, however. Chili is too blue collar for wine, unless it is like Thunderbird or MD 20/20 or something HAHA!

    I like to use black beans in mine but run them through the blender. I like the taste, but I don't like biting into a bean. And blended up, it thickens the chili.
