    Job Summary: Provide daily coverage of team via written content, social media, and on-camera appearances.

    Essential Accountabilities

    1. Write all football-related articles covering the Chiefs on and off the field.
    2. Work closely with the communications staff to keep up to date on the team and the teams’ message
    3. Manage day to day written content on KCChiefs.com
    4. Effectively edit all written work for appropriate content and style
    5. Host on-camera segments for kcchiefs.com and 65TPT Productions
    6. Occasionally represent organization at events/functions as an MC

    Competencies

    1. Written Communications – Must possess exceptional written communication skills.
    2. Oral Communications – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Demonstrates group presentation skills and participates in meetings.
    3. Judgment – Displays willingness to make decisions and exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
    4. Creativity – Displays original thinking and strong creativity skills. Meets challengers with resourcefulness.
    5. Technical Skills – Must have strong social media skills. Knowledge of the NFL’s content management system is a preferred.
    6. Motivation – Demonstrates excellent personal motivation and encourages others to be motivated and enthusiastic.
    7. Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully. Must be able to develop solutions quickly and effectively.

    Physical Requirements

    1. Light office duties and activities
    2. Standing for long periods of time
    3. Extensive game day activities

    Minimum Qualifications Required (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills)

    1. Previous experience covering an NFL team
    2. Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications or equivalent work experience
    3. Experience with Adobe Photoshop
    4. Strong social media skills
