Chicago winters

    There's nothing especially delightful about a Christmas Eve spent with the air conditioning on.

    I got over it ... when I went to the beach the day after Christmas. :D

    Besides, if you decorate a little and put on the pretty music, it still feels like Christmas when you're inside.

    Worst than the cold to me is when it's March or April and it's still 30 degrees. At that point, it just wears on you. I agree it definitely makes you appreciate summer more. I am already thinking what I'm going to do when the weather gets warmer ...
     
  4. No kidding. Having cold weather from November until April just plain sucks. I'm a Texan, so living up north is wearing on me, no doubt. 2008 was the first time I've ever had snow on my April birthday.

    I've lived in two of the worst places in the country for winter weather. I moved from both places because of school/jobs, not because of the weather.

    But I don't miss snow, no, not one little bit.
