    I will agree with this.

Most of us think our kid is Mike Trout, regardless of what the stats say.

At least in basketball, it's obviously who the best player on the floor is within the first 60 seconds after the opening tip.

Yeah, I've been looking for him. By the way, have you seen my wife, Doris?

I coached at a suburban Chicago school. We played Clemente high school in a non-league game in the burbs several years ago. We offered to feed its players before they returned home but the food got delayed. The coach, who was more than gracious, said he had to take his team home because he wanted all of the kids home before it got dark.

He'd best watch out for a boy named Willie McCoy, although back home he's known as Slim.

    Wrong song.

    Nice try, though.

    Ooooo, cool.

Who can we shout "racist" at next? That never gets old.

And this issue doesn't have to be about race at all. It can be about a bad neighborhood that people don't want to get into. If that neighborhood has a concentration of a certain race, well ...

I've always wondered how the razor in his shoe didn't cut his foot.

Sad on so many levels. There's nothing comical about this. When kids can't play a freaking kid's game because of the issues that have been raised? Man, it just leaves you shaking your head.
