Cheering for the enemy

My 11-year-old just got picked to be on the Giants in his PONY League.
I hate the Giants.
When he was on the Orioles, I bought an Orioles hat. When he was on the Diamondbacks last year, I bought a D'backs hat.
There's no way I will buy or wear a Giants hat.
I'm not a coach, so I'm not forced to wear team gear, but I want to support my boy.
What have you other dads done when your kid is on a team you despise?

You could buy a New York Giants hat -- baseball or football -- though if you did football, all the other parents would think you are an idiot.

Dude, prioritize a little bit here.
You want to hate the Giants, go ahead, but don't refuse to buy a hat to support your kid because of it. That's just silly.

 

Don't buy it to support the Giants. Buy it to support Danny Tanner.

 

Or just buy a mesh trucker hat with the team colors, kind of like that Fred McGriff Tom Emanski commercial.

 

It's called perspective. Get some of that, and you'll be fine.

 

Gotta agree with everyone else on here. Don't let your little boy suffer because you have hatred for the Giants. Buy him the hat and support the kid.

 

It's your kid. Your child is way more important than silly, idiotic team affiliations.

 

Of course, if my kid was assigned to the Red Sox, I'd pull him out of the league, but that's just me.
