Cheap merlot

    Two shots of Nyquil just destroyed me last night.

    It just crushed me. I had no idea of the cripppling effect when I took it.

    It's 3-Buck-Chuck in Massachusetts because by law they have to filter it thru a Mass. distributor to put it in Mass. stores.

    Or something like that.

    I think it's three bucks everywhere now. And Cran, if you live anywhere near a Trader Joe's, I think they're the primary purveyor of Charles Shaw.

    There is one winery in Martinez, CA., called Viano. In the tasting room is a hand-drawn sign: If you think you want Merlot, you really want Zinfandel

    The Merlot is the least bad of their $3 reds. They started making reserve wines, and both the Zin and the Pinot Noir are very ,very good deals for the $12 or so cost.
