Chase Daniel's bowl performance fishy?

Fred clearly didn't see Mizzou's games against Oklahoma State, Texas or Oklahoma. Daniel has not been the same QB he was last season, much to the chagrin of Tigers fans such as myself.

I feel like doing a Jay Mohr impression from Jerry Maguire . . . "Finally, somebody said it!!!"

Come on, dude, Northwestern shut down the run and got in Daniel's face all night. He didn't have a good game, but as has been mentioned, there were a few of those this season. Sniff around another tree, cuz I don't think there's anything to that theory.

Ibid. Partly because he spent too much time throwing to guys not named Maclin and Coffman, and partly because he regressed mightily from last season.

Honestly, the first quarter is a good indicator for Daniel. If he started hot, he stayed hot. If he played a shitty first quarter, he never, ever, ever let it go enough to rebound. With the game against KU this season being the one possible exception.

Let's see -- bowls are played about a month or more after a team's final regular season. I don't care how much you practice in that time, you're going to be off. Nothing "fishy" about it.

There's no way Daniel is six feet tall, in his stocking feet. No. Way.

Daniel's bad games follow a familiar pattern, and this one fit. His flaws/shaky judgment under pressure is well-documented.

This NU defense is better than were the '95-'96 versions. The defensive front boasts improved size, and the secondary is infinitely superior. If they don't miss that extra point, thus permitting Mizzou to kick the late field goal to tie, NU most likely wins the game.
