'The Bomb That Didn't Go Off,' in the current Esquire. Great read.

Sounds like it could apply to today's events in Norway.

Oh, how I wish I could call him "Chas."

I'll read it tomorrow. About to start work. :(

Just don't call him The Pierce.

    The Moddy would hate that.

Beautifully crafted, and directly on point.

It will make a lot of readers uncomfortable, but good on Pierce for writing it and Esquire for publishing it.

And I thought the Aristotle reference apt.

Pierce posted here under his real name a few times back in the day.

This would have been awesome on Grantland.

Why aren't they doing stuff like this?

    Oh, and who is Aristotle?

The Aristotle stuff was very apt, but that point delivered by Pierce reminded me of James Harrison railing against the hypocrisy of the NFL.

Know one's going to explain the Aristotle reference to me?

    Jackie O's husband?

Just read it. Am I crazy or is the pulled quote about Rep. Peter King not in the text? ... The piece also left me wanting for more, including stuff about King's hearings and the like.
