I don't know...the Cola Wars were during Reagan's time and that divided the country pretty badly. I still can't look at a bottle of tab without feeling remorseful.

The Reagan years were a failure just because of New Coke. No matter what else Reagan did, the fact that he didn't issue an executive order banning New Coke makes him an absolute failure.

    Friend indicted:

A federal grand jury has indicted a friend of Dylann S. Roof, the man charged in the June 17 massacre at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., and has accused the friend of lying to investigators and concealing information about the attack.

In an indictment unsealed on Friday morning, the friend, Joseph C. Meek Jr., 21, was charged with making false statements and misprision of a felony, or withholding information. He was scheduled to appear in Federal District Court in Columbia, S.C., later Friday.

The indictment, filed this week but not announced until hours before Mr. Meek’s court appearance, included few details about the charges against Mr. Meek. But it accused him of lying when he told an investigator that “he did not know specifics of Mr. Roof’s plan to shoot individuals on a Wednesday during Bible study at an A.M.E. church in Charleston, South Carolina.”

The indictment added that “Meek’s statements and representations denying such specifics were false, fictitious and fraudulent when made.”

A federal magistrate agreed to issue a warrant for Mr. Meek’s arrest on Tuesday, the same day that The State, a South Carolina newspaper, reported on its website that the federal government had warned Mr. Meek that he was “a potential target” of a criminal inquiry. The letter, dated Aug. 6, told Mr. Meek that the authorities were “investigating your conduct and possible criminal violations of federal laws,” and it included references to both misprision and false statements.

Figures that loon identified herself as a retired schoolteacher. I can only imagine how much poisonous nonsense she polluted the minds of kids with during her career.

Can we at least get Dylan Roof a real haircut before his big day in court, please.
That is the worst bowl haircut I have ever seen.
