To catch a terrorist you gotta think like a terrorist, not act like one.

Not me, either. It just seems like more than a coincidence.

They always drop a little bit towards the end of the summer. They'll drop a little more around the first of the year then shoot back up again.

    What's the coincidence?

You guys sound silly when you attribute everything to some sort of Bush conspiracy. He's conspiring to create airport incidents. He's conspiring to manipulate the price of gas.

You do understand that there are market forces which determine prices? Supply and demand? Econ 101?

Lemme see if I have this right.

    -- Huntington, W. Va.

    -- Explosive liquid hidden

    -- Authorities on the hunt.

Terrorism? Hell. This was an old fashioned moonshine bust, boy! Just some good old boys, didn't mean any harm ...

Them Duke boys know a good angle when they see it, and they set up the Pakistani woman, after she lost a game of Go Fish to Cooter at Daisy's bar, to be a mule and take a little bit of their moonshine up to Michigan for the NASCAR race. Boss Hogg and Roscoe was moseyin' 'round Huntington and Uncle Jesse offered a false peace branch and tipped them off to the smuggler.

"Hell yes! I got them Duke boys on the run now, Roscoe P. Coltrane!"
    "Guh, guh, guh ..."

Meanwhile, Bo and Luke motored from Hazard up through Kingsport, Pikeville and the hills of Kentucky out of sight and out of mind to Boss Hogg, incognito-like, to deliver the rest of their stash to guest star Cale Yarborough under Boss Hogg and Roscoe's noses in Ashland, Ohio.

Kind of like that ole Underground Railroad, er, only with moonshine that would pluck the strings off my steal gui-tar.

What them Duke boys wasn't a countin' on was that Enos was a trailin' them Dukes up and down those mountain switchbacks. He radioed ahead to set up a roadblock at the Ohio River. Ole Cale hadn't been that crestfallen since ole Bobby Allison bum-rushed him at Daytona. Ole boy was so peeved he crushed a can of Stroh's on his head.

Foiled but never beaten, the Duke boys motored past Enos and headed up the Ohio, finding the spot where the Mothman destroyed the Point Pleasant Bridge, using the old bridge abuttment to jump the General over the Ohio River itself, blaring Dixie out of its automotive asshole all the way, landin' in the safety of the Northwest Purchase lands. Hell, the General got them owner points from Jeremy Mayfield, watch out for them at Michigan ...

Enos tried, but he couldn't get it up, landing on some big ole barge in the Ohio River. He got out of his Plymouth and threw his deputy hat down in disgust.

"Aw hell, them Duke boys done it again."

The moral of the story? We got a lot of problems in this big ole world, but the only terrorism the Duke boys can cause is a good ole shit-kickin' Saturday night.

This your balladeer, Bubbler. Y'all come back now, ya hear.
